Barely has the dust settled on the news that Zee TV might be pulling the plug on its once-popular show Ishq Subhan Allah, comes the buzz that Manmohini and Yeh Teri Galiyan (YTG) might face the axe as well.
The former fantasy, now in its second season, had lost lots of traction in recent days, setting rumor mills ablaze that the channel has taken a final call. But interestingly, its last week’s numbers have gone up a tad.
Another Zee TV show, Yeh Teri Galiyan (Cinevistaas), which has clocked over 350 episodes, too might face closure, but there is no confirmed call on the same. On the other hand, buzz about Manmohini ending this month itself is substantial.
When we spoke to Karam Rajpal, lead of Manmohini season 2, he said, “While we too have heard such rumors, the channel and production house (LSD films) have told me that it is nothing as such, and we will continue to rock as before.”
Our attempts to speak to producer Prateek Sharma and the channel spokesperson came to nought.
Shifting gears to YTG, our source says that the show might end soon.
When contacted, YTG male lead Avinash Mishra says, “Our 1 TVR is good, and I don’t think the channel will shut us down.”
Our attempts to speak to YTG producer Sunil Mehta and the channel spokesperson again came to naught.
