Casting for a character is certainly a herculean task and hats off to the people who do it day and night!!
We are saying so because for a certain character to enter Star Plus’ Ikyawann (Panorama Entertainment), the team has literally brainstormed, having finalized the cast not once, not twice but thrice!!
Yes, we are talking of the same antagonist character that Leena Jumani was to play!! And the same one which Leena apparently refused overnight, leading to Poulomi Das’ entry!!
Now the latest news is that Poulomi too has been replaced. It is now Poonam Pandey who will enter the show to play the above said role.
Our source claims, “Poulomi did not fit perfectly into the character, and that is when the team felt that it would not work with the actor. The shoot was yet again postponed and the hunt for the cast was on again. Now Poonam we hear has been finalized and will start shoot in the next few hours.”
When we buzzed Poonam she said, “Yes, I am going to reach the sets in sometime. I will call you once I get my brief.”
Well, as we know, this character is all set to create problems for Susheel (Prachi Tehlan) and Satya (Namish Taneja)… We guess the role will certainly create wonders as it has already made all the noise possible even before the grand entry (pun intended).
As for Poonam, she was recently seen in Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat and was part of a show for Happii channel which did not see its dawn.
