The Indian television industry has made its way into every single household of India today. The growth in demand among viewers has presented enormous opportunities for TV producers and channels to serve different genres of content and stories. The increasing viewership for the content encourages and supports the shows to continue airing more and more episodes. Some of India’s longest-running TV shows have successfully completed 1000 episodes or more.

The unique plot and meaningful script built these shows on television. No matter how progressive Indian TV shows are trying to be today, the fact that they’re still relying on tried-and-tested plot twists can’t be denied. Also, there have been many plotlines that are unfinished and dragged even after 1000-2000 episodes. Today, we bring you a list of these TV shows.

Prithvi’s expose drama: Kundali Bhagya is one of the popular shows on tube. The show’s main villain Prithvi played by Sanjay Gagnani never gets exposed in the show. This plotline is dragged since the character was roped in. Be it his affair with Sherlyn or his attempt to kill Mahesh, every time the main lead Preeta (Shraddha Arya) tries to expose him, he gets saved. We believe Preeta must be tired of exposing him! Pragya and Abhi’s reunion: Kumkum Bhagya’s lead couple Pragya and Abhi played by Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia are one of the popular jodis on television. Although they are married and have kids who are also married their reunion is much awaited. The couple always unites and unfortunately parts ways. Then they again struggle to reunite. This storyline has also been dragged since the inception of the show. Now, viewers finally want the couple to reunite soon.

Popatlal’s marriage: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a hit Indian sitcom. From 2008, with impeccable comedic timing and the weirdest characters, it has made a special place in viewers’ hearts. One of the many characters that make up the show is Patrakar Popatlal (played by Shyam Pathak), the eternal single guy. From 2008, he’s had hopes of getting married. It’s been 12 years and Popatlal is still looking for his soulmate. Will he ever find one?

Sai and Virat’s love confession: Star Plus popular show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is currently the audience’s favourite show. Starring Neil Bhatt (Virat Chavhan), Aishwarya Sharma (Patralekha), and Ayesha Singh (Sai) in lead roles, the show is a gripping triangular love story based on the life of an IPS officer who is seen torn between love and duty. Virat, who marries Sai and eventually falls in love is yet to make the big confession. Virat and Sai marry under certain circumstances but now they are in love but both don’t want to make the first move it seems. Well, audiences want their favourite jodi Sai and Virat to confess their love soon.
