Coming in as a shocker, actor Palak Sindhwani, who is best known for her role as Sonu Bhide in the Sony Sab show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has quit the show. This comes to light after an earlier rumor about the actor being served with a legal notice was refuted by both Sindhwani and the production house.

However, Neela Film Productions released an official statement that Palak Sindhwani aka Sonu Bhide has received a legal notice for a breach of contract. The notice highlights multiple breaches of key terms in Palak Sindhwani’s exclusive artist agreement, which have significantly impacted the character, the show, and the production company. The violations mainly involve her unauthorized endorsements and appearances with third parties, carried out without obtaining the required written approval as stipulated in her contract.

Despite verbal and written warnings, the violations continued thus causing an infringement on the exclusivity clause of the contract and undermining the integrity of the character she plays and the show as well. The statement ended with saying that hence, Neela Film Productions was compelled to take action.

For the uninitiated, Sindhwani entered the show as the new Sonu, taking over from Nidhi Bhanushali back in 2019. The actor has been doing the role for five years. Before Bhanushali, the character was first played by Jheel Mehta, who joined the show at its inception and continued to be a part of it for over four years.
