Considering the numbers of cases of sexual harassment on women meeting the eye in the last few days, the need to make work places in the industry a safe place is a must..
In accordance with this, The Producers Guild of India organized a special committee within the Guild to address the issue of sexual harassment at the workplace within our industry.
The committee had its first meeting on 10 October wherein the committee members worked on certain important points that need to be addressed and put into action in every work place in the industry at the earliest in order to give utmost safety to women.
The committee is headed by Sneha Rajani and the eminent producers who are part of the team include Apoorva Mehta, Ekta Kapoor, Fazila Allana, Jyoti Deshpande, Kiran Rao, Kulmeet Makkar, Madhu Bhojwani, Priti Shahani, Rohan Sippy, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Vijay Singh.
The team further decided to meet up regularly and carry forward the program in making the environment safer for all members working in the industry.
