In presence of Bollywood big wigs like JP Dutta, Indian Ambasador in UK, Arjun Rampal, Bindiya Goswami, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Chaudhry, Harshvardhan Rane, Nidhi Dutta, Madhoo Shah, Esha Deol Takhtani noted author and film journalist Ram Kamal Mukherjee was felicitated with the much coveted Stardust Achievers Award for his outstanding contribution to Film Journalism and completion of 20 years in the field.

Former Editor in chief of Stardust magazine and winner of many prestigious awards for his biography Beyond The Dreamgirl, Ram Kamal received the award from legends Vyjainthimala Bali and Hema Malini at Grosvenor House in London.

“This is definitely a special evening to honour Ram Kamal for his contribution in Film Journalism,” said Dr Vyjainthimala Bali while handing over the golden star to India’s first Power Brand Film Journalist.

Ram Kamal received thunderous applause from 200 dignitaries present at the venue, comprising from all walks of life.

“I didn’t expect this,” said Ram Kamal. “I consider Mr Nari Hira as my mentor and my guide. I am glad that he made me feel so special. And getting this recognition from India’s two most respectable icons adds cherry to the cake,” he added. He also thanked Ashok Dhamankar, director Magna Publishing for his unconditional support.

Hema Malini jokingly said, “Ram Kamal is too young to get Lifetime achievement award for journalism, he has been a friend and well wisher for me. Now he has started his new sojourn as a director with my daughter Esha in Cakewalk. I want him to make more films and get more awards as a filmmaker also.”

Ram Kamal Mukherjee is India’s youngest biographer, and recently he launched the poster of hi directorial debut Cakewalk in Montcalm, London. He produced finite series Bin Kuch Kahe with Zee TV, along with Rajshree Ojha. He launched his own production house Assorted Motion Pictures last year. After Cakewalk he will be seen directing his next Season’s Greetings, which is a tribute to noted filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh.
