Popular actor Shyam Sundar Kalani, who played the role of Sugriv in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan has died on April 6.
According to the reports in media, the actor was suffering from cancer for a long time.
Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan is back on Doordarshan. A few days back, Sugriv’s entry was aired on the show. Shyam Sundar Kalani played both Sugriv and his brother Bali.
Shyam’s co-actor Arun Govil, who played Ram in the mythological show took to Twitter and mourned the death of his colleague.
Sad to know about demise of Mr. Shyam Sundar who played the role of Sugreev in Ramanand Sagar’s “Ramayan”… A very fine person and a gentleman. May his soul rest in peace.
