The Zoom Meeting with the broadcasters and Television Producers with the CM of Maharashtra Shri Uddhav Thackeray has finally happened and it seems as though there is hope certainly at the end of the tunnel!!

The meeting was attended by Puneet Goenka, N.P. Singh, Rahul Joshi, Madhavan, Puneet Mishra, Abhishek Rege, Deepak Dhar, Adesh Bandekar, Dr Sanjay Mukharji, Vikas Gharelu, Sudhir Naik, Ekta Kapoor, Nitin Vaidya and J.D. Majethia.

We contacted J.D. Majethia, Chairman – TV and Web, and he said, “Industry shared concerns of business and job losses in the meeting. Also, a point of viewers being fatigued of reruns and the idea to start shooting with utmost care of safety and SOPs were taken. He quickly addressed all issues, asked his team to initiate a committee and work out the possibilities to start work soon. We need to list out studios away from civilization, list of necessary precautions we will take, list of spacious post-production studios where the social distancing can be maintained at the earliest.”

“Once this is done we can look at the permission for maintenance of the sets, monsoon sheds, fire safety measures etc. He concluded with asking us all to be positive and hopeful with a line of a song from a film “Aanewala pal jane wala hai”.

“He very willingly agreed to pose for a picture of our video conference meeting. I was very happy to discover a hidden streak of our beloved CM’s sense of humour which kept everyone in the meeting comfortable.”

Fingers crossed and we hope there is certainly light at the end of the tunnel!!
