Reports from the ground suggest that Fakt Marathi top boss Shirish Pattanshetty is in police custody.
This is in the wake of the ‘rigged ratings’ probe by the Mumbai Police.
Shirish Pattanshetty, as per reports, was arrested from Andheri, Mumbai and is in police custody.
Owner of Box Cinema, Narayan Sharma was also taken into custody.
In a press conference held on Thursday, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh said the city police is probing an alleged ratings scam where certain news channels manipulated BARC data to boost their ratings. He identified Republic TV, Fakt Marathi and Box Cinema by name.
