Discovery Communications is entering into the General Entertainment space with the launch of its new channel Discovery JEET.
The upcoming channel has an interesting line-up of shows. One of the projects is the historical show on the great Battle Of Saragarhi, which is being produced by Contiloe Pictures.
The series will see Mohit Raina (Mahadev fame) playing the lead character of Havildar Ishar Singh. The makers have also roped in well-known actor Mukul Dev to play an Afghan named Gul Badshah.
Now, IndianWikiMedia has exclusively learnt that television beauty Rishina Kandhari, who is currently winning accolades for her performance in Sony TV’s Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, has joined the ensemble cast.
As per a reliable source, “Rishina will have a crucial part in the storyline. Her character will be of an Afghani lady opposite Mukul Dev.”
The cast is shooting at Amgaon, outskirts of Mumbai.
We buzzed Rishina but she remained unavailable for a comment.
