Young actor Amit Purohit who played the lead in the super-hit Telugu movie Sammohanam has passed away.
Well, age is just a phrase is what we can understand with the entertainment industry losing yet another actor at a very young age.
The news of Amit Purohit’s death was shared by the film’s actor Sudheer Babu, and the Director Mohan Krishna Indragati.
The Director and actor expressed their grief and sorrow on social media over the actor’s untimely death.
Amit Purohit has earlier featured in the Hindi films Pankh and Aalap.
The reason for his untimely demise is still not known.
In Sammohanam, Amit played the role of actor Aditi Hydari’s ex-boyfriend. The story in the movie revolved around an unlikely romance between a fan and an actor.
Amit is known to be a very friendly and helpful guy, and his industry colleagues remember him to be a person who would give his cent percent to the work in hand.
Sudheer Babu, friend and colleague of Amit wrote on social media, “Saddened by the death news of Amit Purohit. He played Amit Malhotra in Sammohanam. Very friendly guy & always gave 100 % for every shot. Another good and young actor left us too early. May his soul rest in peace.”
The film’s director Mohan Krishna Indraganti too wrote on Twitter, “I am unable to believe it. Amit Purohith, one of the gentlest, well- behaved and hugely talented actors I have worked with. And such a generous man!!! Amith, I will miss you, man. I was thinking of casting you again soon. May you Rest In Peace, Brother.”
