& TV’s upcoming presentation Vani Rani, produced by Esselvision will be the next big drama series on the small screen!!
The show which will have stellar performer Tanvi Azmi playing a dual role is the remake of the popular Tamil show by the same name.
Our readers would avidly remember that we at Indianwikimedia.com were the first to break the news of Tanvi being part of the show.
We now hear of seasoned actors Sanjay Gandhi and Iqbal Azad being cast opposite Tanvi Azmi.
As per sources, “Sanjay Gandhi who was part of &TV’s Gangaa will play the eldest of the two brothers. He will be married to the well-educated Vani while Iqbal will be the husband of the less-literate Rani.”
Talking about their characters, Sanjay will be a self-made businessman who would love his family as well as profession. On the otherhand, Iqbal who will play Sanjay’s step-brother will be of a subdued nature, always suppressed by his brother. However, Iqbal’s character will be of a very warm, family-oriented, loving guy.
We buzzed Iqbal who confirmed the news with us, but he did not want to get into details.
When contacted, Sanjay Gandhi who is even today known as the original Daddaji of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai told us, “Yes, I am part of Vani Rani. It is a huge responsibility to play such a powerful and demanding role.”
