Star Plus’ Meri Durga produced by Ravindra Gautam and Pradeep Kumar’s Paperback Films will see a replacement post leap.
Actress Aishwarya Sharma who essayed the role of Amrita, sister to Durga will no longer be part of the show.
Taking her place will be noted actress Sonal Parihar who is seen in BIG Magic’s Rudra Ke Rakshak.
As per a source, “The character of Amrita will be shown to be having a four years old kid post the leap. Aishwarya being young in age did not want to play a mother. Hence the replacement.”
When contacted, Aishwarya confirmed the news saying, “Yes I have moved out of Meri Durga. I have had a good experience. In the post leap story, I was to be shown as a mother. I did not want to play mother this early in my career.”
When contacted, Sonal too confirmed the news “I started shoot for Meri Durga today. It is a very nice character.”
The post leap phase will show a stronger side to Amrita. She will be an independent working woman, taking care of her kid as a single parent. She will be shown as a confident, strong personality.”
