Yes, you heard it right!!

Siddharth Kumar Tewary and his team are presently working on a new show on the life and tale of Chandragupta Maurya, which will soon kick-start on Sony TV.

News coming to us is that Porus, the ongoing show will complete its stipulated number of episodes (finite series) on 9 November and the acclaimed production house will come up with a sequel to Porus’s life and tale, with Chandragupta Maurya.

As per a reliable source, “As per history, Porus breathed his last somewhere around 325 BC, and in 321 BC, Chandragupta Maurya had become the King and had started winning over colonies.”

Though Chandragupta Maurya will be considered as a new show, it will have a bridge and connecting link between two shows with Chanakya being one of the characters seen in both shows.

As of now, the casting for Chandragupta Maurya will start soon. And the show will launch on 12 November on the same time slot occupied by Porus, after it will end on 9 November.

We buzzed Writer, Producer and Director Siddharth Kumar Tewary who confirmed the news of IWMBuzz.com stating, “Porus was always planned as a limited series and we will end it as planned, but as we say … every end is a new beginning, for the first time in Indian television one story will move into another seamlessly, it’s like one chapter ends and the second starts in a linear format. The key characters from porus will take the story ahead in Chandragupta Maurya, one of the biggest warriors of our country who had created a United India against foreign invasion.”

We reached out to the channel spokesperson, but did not get revert.
