TV actor Arushi Mehta who was supposed to have exchanged vows with her fiancé Pargat Singh on 30th April in court has had to push back the date due to the COVID -19 outbreak lockdown.
“We are now waiting for the lockdown to lift and then will approach the court for a fresh date or will then opt for a registered marriage,” says Arushi.
“At first, along with the legal marriage, we had planned a few functions which also stand cancelled. Given the current uncertain situation, for the moment Pargat and I have decided not to hold any more functions; we will only get married by law,” says this good looking actor who gained name and fame courtesy Kahaani Hamaare Mahabharat Ki and Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai.
“Down the road, whenever things get better, we might then throw a reception for family and friends.”
Here Arushi informs us that she is stuck in Palghar ever since the shutdown came into effect. “Mom and I had come to this neighbouring district of Mumbai for some business work. But then the lockdown suddenly came into effect, and we could not move from here.”
“It is tough to be away from Pargat for so long, and to make matters worse, cellular network out here is patchy. Pargat is trying to get the required permission to let me return to Mumbai,” she states.
In closing Arushi requests all IWMBuzz.com readers to strictly adhere to social distancing norms “as together we can and will vanquish this pandemic.”
Best of luck, Arushi!!
