Maya, a short film written and directed by Vikas Chandra will dwell into the life of a daughter who actually sees it coming that her biggest support system in life, her mother is actually in a state and age wherein she needs to mother her. The film also touches upon the emotional thought around the fear of losing someone very dear.
The short film features actress Kirti Kulhari of Pink fame in the role of Maya, senior actress Alka Amin as her mother Meera and Naveen Kasturia as Raunak, the guy in Maya’s life.
The short has been written and directed by Vikas Chandra who was the Associate Creative Producer in Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. He has also written, produced and directed short film PROJECT 11. Recently, he directed the dramedy on Amazon Prime, Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare written by Zakir Khan.
The short is produced by Ghalib Datta, Navneet Singh Gujral and Navjot Gulati.
The short also happens to be the last work of senior actress Charu Rohatgi, who passed away few recently. She will play mother to Raunak in the short.
