Zee TV is certainly on a new high! It is continuously on the top of the TRP charts. And this only means that the channel looks forward to adding entertaining new content to keep its flag high.
News coming to us is that the channel has decided to stop the run of Bhootu.
The show produced by Essel Vision Production, is an original series, which was broadcasted on Zee Bangla. The story revolved around a friendly girl ghost, ‘Bhootu’ (played by Arshiya Mukherjee), who always tried to help others, often causing light mischief and mayhem in the process. However, the show failed to garner good ratings. Even a seasonal revamp did not help the cause.
Now, Bhootu will air its last episode on 15 June.
As per sources, “The team of the daily has been informed about the channel’s decision Yesterday (7 June), with the shoot also wrapping up.”
When contacted, the actors remained unavailable for a comment.
We sent out a text message to the channel spokesperson, but received no reply.
