Amidst the COVID ambience, it is very difficult to keep expensive shows like Nazar on air: Producer Gul Khan on the show’s closure

Nazar 2 the supernatural thriller drama show produced by Gul Khan’s 4 Lions Films will not be coming on air post the COVID break!!

The news came as a big disappointment for viewers who loved this cult show that has made wonders in the last many months.

Nazar gave a huge boost to the late TV viewing, being slotted at the 11 PM slot. With a massive cast lead by actors Harsh Rajput and Niyati Fatnani in lead roles, Nazar carved its own niche place in the audiences’ hearts.

After a great run, the show was brought back with a new cast and got into the sequel mode with Nazar 2.

The popular Daayan though played by Monalisa remained a common factor in the sequel too.

But now, the show has ended and will not see its return.

Commenting on it, Producer Gul Khan spoke to IWMBuzz.com saying, “In the post COVID world, advertisement money is going to be very limited. It is going to be difficult to keep expensive shows on air. And Nazar was a big-budget show due to its grandeur, VFX and highly mounted action sequences!! And limitations in big budgets are going to be our reality at least for the coming year!!”

“And as Uday Shankar, President, The Walt Disney Company, APAC and Chairman, Star & Disney India put in across aptly in one of the interviews that we are in for a long, dark and scary winter, let’s see how we sail through this one.”

Nazar will remain in the Indian audiences’ memory for long!!
