Star Plus and Gul Khan’s 4 Lions Films’ show Imlie completes 400 episodes today, and to celebrate the occasion, we at IWMBuzz.com had the chance to talk to Muskan Bajaj, the Creative Director on the show. Imlie in its story plot has gone through several changes in recent time, that of Imlie and Aditya’s separation followed by Gashmeer Mahajani’s exit to the emergence of the new Jodi in Aryan and Imlie.
Muskan takes our questions and answers them with clear perception and vision.
Excerpts:
How would you describe the new phase in the show with Imlie and Aryan?
It is full of emotions, action, passion, intensity, romance & entertainment.I am sure log aksar yahi kehte honge ” RISHTA HO TOH AISA HO” It is a Jodi that is receiving immense love from the audience and we as a team are hoping to continue this line of the story because it has given us a favourable outcome for the show.
How tough was it for the team to let go of Gashmeer from the show? How did you manage this transition?
Replacement is always a tough call because the audience connects with characters in the show very fast and Aditya is a likeable character on ITV. Gashmeer Mahajani played Aditya very well but what is planned in destiny is not in our control & we wish him all the best for his career. We were worried earlier but thankfully audience has accepted Manasvi too as Aditya and he is getting into the character day by day.
400 episodes with Imlie being consistently in the top 5 has been an achievement. How do you feel?
It is a great feeling despite having to go through so many ups and downs in the show, which includes the testing Covid times as well as the growing popularity of the internet space. To sustain the TRP for the team is the mark of accomplishment; it involves a lot of passion, courage, hard work, persistence and the whole team is driven towards accomplishing this long term goal we have for the show.
What is the next goal in terms of story plot in the show?
Don’t you feel that surprises make everything sweeter? The best thing will happen unexpectedly and I am sure that the BIG surprise is yet to come that is going to be a roller coaster ride, so keep watching the show.
Is the AryLie romance starting now?
Does the audience see Arylie romance brewing now? Now they just need to wait and watch. PICTURE ABHI BAKI HAIN, DOSTO!!!
What would you tell the Imlie Aditya fans now?
I cannot thank everybody enough for loving their jodi so much, their individual characters also have received a lot of appreciation. Keep showering your love to the show as always. They fit perfectly in the new phase of the show. However, I am certain their jodi will never outgrow the hearts of Imlie and Aditya fans.
What are your personal takeaways from this achievement of Imlie?
Imlie’s success has provided immense growth and broadening of vision, personally and professionally to me. I want to take this opportunity to thank my team which brings all the ideas to life in the best capacity possible. I’m ready to amplify the hustle! Like they say “grateful for where I’m at, excited about where I’m going”. Growth can be from uncomfortable zones, however big or small that is, what matters to me is that I’m taking small steps every day towards becoming the best version of myself.
