As a senior director in the industry, what do you feel has changed in decades?

A lot of things have changed. Nowadays, TV is too demanding, lesser the time and more the content to shoot. Audiences have become smarter because they want to see more logical content.

Name a few actors you loved working with and why?

It is always a pleasure to work with good actors, especially those who trust the director’s vision. So I loved working with Shaheer Sheikh, Nakuul Mehta, Pearl V Puri, and currently Manav Gohil because they are always enthusiastic and willing to do good work.

How do you manage to keep working with such energy on sets handling so many people around and staying safe during this pandemic?

We always need to be calm and relaxed even in the most chaotic environment on the set, even if it is a pandemic. The situation is even more critical outside the set as well but the strategy is just the same.

Does the director get to decide a change in the storyline if it’s more acceptable?

Directors can always put across their vision and thought to the producer, whether this storyline will work or not, and if the channel is convinced enough then that can be implemented but the final call is always by the channel.

How is your experience of working with the whole cast of Shaadi Mubarak?

Well, it’s a great experience to work with seasoned actors.

One of your fondest memory you would like to share with the readers

My fondest memory which I will always cherish and remember is meeting Mr. Sooraj Barjatya. I loved it when he was praising my work for the show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara.  He wrote a personal letter to me and also gifted me a Gold coin. And I consider this as my award.
