Another feather in the cap for dynamic Ram Kamal…

Bollywood television producer, veteran film journalist and author of Long Island Iced Tea Ram Kamal Mukherjee is all set to don a new role in his career.

IndianWikiMedia has learnt that Ram Kamal has been appointed in the Board Of Advisory for prestigious Rajasthan International Film Festival to be held in January 2018. He will be seen sharing dais with legends like Anoop Jalota and Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.

Ram Kamal produced Hindi serial Bin Kuch Kahe for Zee TV, with noted filmmaker Rajshree Ojha for Artecom Entertainment. He has been working as a film journalist for almost two decades and headed prestigious film magazine Stardust for half a decade.

Currently busy with his new biography on Hema Malini for HarperCollins, he is elated with the news. “This came like a surprise to me,” says young producer Ram Kamal. “I interacted with Anshu and Harsh when I was shooting in Jaipur for Bin Kuch Kahe. They have been in touch with me. They shared their views on film festival and wanted to do something new and interesting. My journey as a journalist started with Kolkata Film Festival and I have always maintained that if we have to compete with world cinema, then we need to open our doors. This festival will ensure that we cater to a wide range of genre in visual art.”

Anshu Harsh, the director of Rajasthan Film Festival says, “After scanning many profile, we dotted on Ram Kamal because he is one of the rare personalities who have interviewed Mani Ratnam to Buddhadeb Dasgupta, from Aparna Sen to Farah Khan, from Soumitra Chatterjee to Shah Rukh Khan. I am sure with almost 20 years experience he will bring in a lot of value to our fesival.”

Amidst producing a serial, writing a book and making short films, Ram Kamal seems to be taking the role of multitasking to a different level.

Way to go, Ram!!!
