Television and film producer Ektaa R. Kapoor recently participated in the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, sharing her experience on social media. In a video posted on Instagram, Kapoor is seen having a fun time at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. She captioned the post, “Maha Kumbh”
The Maha Kumbh Mela, held every 12 years, is the world’s largest religious gathering, attracting millions of devotees from around the globe. This year’s event, which began on January 14, 2025, saw over 420 million visitors over its six-week duration. The festival is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology, where it is believed that bathing in the sacred rivers during the Mela absolves sins and grants spiritual liberation.
In addition to Kapoor, other notable personalities have also visited the Mela. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam on February 5, 2025, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
