Actress Harshita Kashyap, who was previously seen in the television show, Molkki – Rishton Ki Agnipariksha, reveals being inspired by superstar Shahrukh Khan to pursue a career into acting.

She says, “As an actor I don’t believe in getting myself categorised to any medium. I’m inspired by Shahrukh Khan sir to become an actor and he started his journey from TV screens only. And he’s a superstar today. So no medium is small or big. I’m already working in bollywood movies, web series and also in TV shows. Before taking up roles I’m more concerned about my role and the storyline, I never think much about the medium because I have learnt the fact each medium has its own audience and as an actor I want to be familiar among all the audience to be successful.”

Harshita who started her career as a model and later contested in the reality TV show Splitsvilla Season 8 as a contestant, adds that for an outsider it’s very much difficult to get a good break.

She tells, “I understand an actor’s struggle and meanwhile everything depends on the break they enjoy. People here always look for a God father, whose contact or power makes things easy for them. But I feel TV as a medium helps an actor to establish their acting dreams even without a God father. TV industry is full of struggle but is not actually biased. Here apart from individuals hardwork, it’s all about luck too. And that’s why even doing good on bollywood screen I’m still happy to take up TV projects.”

Harshita is best known for featuring in shows like Perfect Pati and movies like 3 Shyaane, Mandbuddhi, and Main Raj Kapoor Ho Gaya among others.
