Sony SAB‘s highly anticipated family drama, Vanshaj, takes viewers on a journey into the lavish and grand world of the Mahajan family. The show promises an engaging storyline that combines family drama, political intrigue, and the intricate dynamics of a wealthy business dynasty. As the story unfolds, viewers are introduced to Yuvika (played by Anjali Tatrari), who lives in Rishikesh with her father Premraj (Akshay Anand), mother Bhoomi (Gurdeep Punjj), and siblings Isha (Kanchan Dubey) and Arjun (Buneet Kapoor). Yuvika is a young and innocent girl with simple aspirations in life but is unaware of her own true capabilities. On the other side, viewers meet the powerful Mahajan family, led by Bhanupratap (Puneet Issar), his brother Dhanraj (Gireesh Sahdev), sister-in-law Gargi (Parinitaa Seth), and nephew Digvijay (Mahir Pandhi).
Yuvika’s peaceful life in a small town in India takes a turn when Vidur, a person from her father’s past named Aliraza Namdar, shows up. Vidur seeks guidance from Premraj about the Mahajan family business heir while keeping his presence a secret. Yuvika discovers her birth certificate and wonders why it says Mahajan instead of Nagar. In the meantime, Premraj has a heart attack and collapses, causing Yuvika to rush him to the hospital while facing many challenges. Bhoomi contacts Bhanupratap for assistance, and he promptly arranges for Premraj to be transferred to a prestigious hospital with excellent medical care.
