Visit the best of India with EPIC Channel on National Tourism Day

In tune with the spirit of National Tourism Day on 25th January, EPIC Channel – India Ka Apna Infotainment, announced an exclusive programming line-up. From the golden sparrow of old, to one of the fastest growing tourism hot-spots, India as a destination is on a rise and EPIC channel is joining in with a specially curated programming line-up from it’s wide library of premium India-centric content to showcase India’s natural beauty, exotic cuisine, unending history, and vibrant culture.

The day-long programming will air on 25th January from 1:00 pm onwards, and will feature six episodes from the popular show Ekaant, that explores abandoned monuments and cities of India that are fast fading from memory. The episodes will take the viewers to the mesmerising Hampi, and Ross Island (recently renamed Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Dweep), the magnificent Raigad Fort – home to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and the 9-storey high Leh Palace, that stands testament to Ladakh’s proud history.

Also featuring in the line-up is Sanrachana, a show that discovers India’s architectural marvels and the science behind what makes them unique. The episodes in Sanrachna outline the Buland Darwaza in Fatehpur Sikri, Agra, the Charminar and Golconda Fort in Hyderabad, and the Gol Gumbaz of Bijapur, each of which are keepers of unique architectural innovations.

Adding variety to the line-up is Kahi Suni, where anchor Sara Khan explores the story of the separation of Krishna and Radha from modern day Vrindavan; ‘Jewels Of The Sea’, a feature on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands presented by Tom Alter; ‘Hornbill Festival’ visits the cultural extravaganza of Nagaland, and Curry Pow, India’s first home grown feature on the fast growing skiing culture.

Commenting on the inspiration for the programming mix, Content and Programming Head, EPIC Channel, Akul Tripathi, said, “National Tourism Day is a great effort at focusing energy in showcasing India to tourists both domestic and international. At EPIC, we celebrate India everyday, and we are glad to be a part of this movement that encourages travel and understanding of Incredible India.”
