Akash Makhija’s tryst with ‘Bihari’ language for the movie ‘Half Girlfriend’…

Akash Makhija, seen presently in Life OK’s Har Mard Ka Dard had a challenge in hand of working on various languages and dialects.

Actor Akash Makhija who is entertaining one and all as Bunnu in Life OK’s Har Mard Ka Dard (DJ’s – A Creative Unit) recently went on a language spree wherein he had to work on three different languages at the same time.

Akash who will be seen in the upcoming romantic drama on the big screen, Half Girlfriend, written by Chetan Bhagat and directed by Mohit Suri, will be seen adapting to a Bihari dialect in the movie. The movie stars Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles, with Vikrant Massey, Rhea Chakraborthy playing pivotal roles.

It so happened that Akash was roped in for the Life OK show at the same time when he was shooting for the movie. And in the show, he essays a typical Punjabi munda.

Also, Akash was doing a short film with Saqib Saleem, wherein he was playing a 16 years old Muslim kid.

So at the end of it all, Akash was given the challenge of getting into not one, not two but three different languages at the same time.

Says Akash, “Yes, I never thought of playing a guy from Bihar in the movie. But Mukesh Chhabra has an amazing casting eye. He was the one who picked me up for Half Girlfriend. Right now, I am excited for the release of the movie (19 May). At the same time, I am having all the fun on the sets of Har Mard Ka Dard as it is a full-on comedy show. I also await the premiere of my short film. So I am glad that I am keeping a balance at work.”

Here’s wishing you all the very best for the movie, Akash!!
