Zee TV has been a pioneer and a trend-setter in shaping television content over the past three decades and once again, it seems to be changing the face of music reality shows with its latest non-fiction property, the Indian Pro Music League (IPML). In a clutter-breaking format innovation, Zee TV launched the world’s first-ever music league championship on February 26th, 2021. While the world of sports has seen several league competitions, this unique music league has six teams representing different regions of India, battling it out against each other in a musical championship. Each of these six teams supported by leading Bollywood and sports celebrities has top playback singers as their captains, one reality show star, and one fresh voice. Celebrated singers – Mika Singh, Kailash Kher, Sajid Khan, Shaan, Ankit Tiwari, Javed Ali, Asees Kaur, Bhoomi Trivedi, Akriti Kakar, Payal Dev, Neha Bhasin, Shilpa Rao are captains of these six zonal teams.
In the upcoming episode viewers will get to witness high-end drama from Ankit Tiwari’s end on the sets of Indian Pro Music League, as he will be seen leaving the sets in vexation. Divyansh’s bantering with the judges led to a spark when he cracked a joke on Ankit Tiwari’s hairstyle, and said that it looked like some bird had pooped on it. This triggered the whole situation and Ankit Tiwari was seen leaving the sets while Mika and the rest of the judges tried convincing him not to. It got even worse when he asked for a clarification from the crew members for having a script, he declined in the first place and nobody showed up, leading Divyansh to feel worse and he ended up in tears. Only then the singer broke into a smile and clarified that he was playing a prank since it is the month of April and everybody began hooting with laughter. The whole mood changed on the sets right after the revelation and everybody was taken aback by Ankit Tiwari’s intense enactment.
While the due Shaan and Akriti Kakkar will be seen magnetizing the audience with songs like Dil Chahta Hain, Yaaron dosti and Mustafa Mustafa, the other team members will go on to give in the best of their performances too.
