Kumkum Bhagya is one soap opera that doesn’t fall into the arena of saas-bahu dramas. It’s as matriarchal as it gets, and frankly, that’s something we cherish in contemporary times. There are very few family dramas currently running on Indian television that lay stress on women and their lifestyle, and ensure that they tackle societal issues of modern times and represent women in a whole new light.
Abhi and Pragya, played by actors Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha, are doing an astounding job as the lead pair of the show Kumkum Bhagya, and we are totally enthralled to see this couple breaking stereotypes and crushing barriers through the show.
The team of the show has a lot of fun together on sets and off-screen as well. The cast has bonded really well over time and spend a lot of time together even when they are not shooting for the show.
Popular television actor Arjit Taneja, who is known for his roles as Purab Khanna in Kumkum Bhagya and Vivaan Kapoor in Kaleerein, will be portraying Azaan Akhtar Mirza in Colors TV’s romantic drama, Bahu Begum.
