Barun Sobti the talented actor started his career as the boy-next-door and chocolate hero of television. His portrayals in Baat Hamari Pakki Hai gave us a romantic inkling of his as an actor. However, with time, he grew and strengthened his caliber as an actor. He rose to fame with his amazing portrayal in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.

Barun Sobti was born to Raj Sobti and Veenu Sobti n Delhi. He had a long-time love affair with his later-turned-wife Pashmeen Manchanda from his schooling days. Sobti and Pashmeen got married in the year 2010. They have a daughter by the name Sifat.
