The thing about acting is that the actors can never get comfortable playing a particular character. One of the biggest signs of a good actor is when they can switch between multiple roles which are quite opposite than what they’ve been playing.
Pallavi Pradhan, who plays the role of the rich, high class maharani, Utara Devi, now played the role of a house maid in the Star Bharat’s show Jiji Maa. She was quite excited about the change in roles. Although it was challenging since she has been seen as the rich lady otherwise.
Hearing it from Pallavi Pradhan aka Utara Devi, “I believe, for an actor it is very important to be flexible with any role they have to play. The challenge of coming out of the box and playing a role that one has never done is the job of an actor. I don’t shy doing any kind of roles that the script demands. I love my profession and take such challenges in a sporting way.”
