Actor Darshan Pandya, who is playing a rather interesting character with grey shades in Jyoti Gupta’s Queens Hai Hum, is getting quite a response about his role.
Talking about it, he says, “The response I got is a little shocking, because nobody has seen me in such kind of character. All the characters I have done are general, good-boy type people. This time, even my look is very unusual for me. My character is a bit of a bad boy.”
However, he feels that, in the scheme of the story, his character is not forced to be bad, and is totally justified. He says, “Mine is a very justified role, because my character has a cameo with the five ladies. He is a part of their families and their issues. He bonds with them and has meaningful relationships with them. While I was a bit worried that my character would be justified or not, since it’s a women oriented industry where people don’t pay much attention to males. But I totally got a role which I like, so I can’t complain.”
Darshan says that he had a great time working with producer Jyoti from the very first day. He shares, “The first day when I met Jyoti Gupta, I got along quite well. He is a very chilled out and cool person. I noticed, that even though the production house is new, they are very experienced and professional.”
Darshan shares maximum amount of screen space with his costar Bhavana Pani. Still, he maintains that, even though, he joined the cast six months after the show started, they never let him feel like a new comer. He reveals, “Basically, 95% of my scenes are with Bhavana Pani. I have rarely shot scenes with others. Still, all the others were shooting since six months when I joined them, but they did not let me feel that I am the new entry in the show. They all were very warm to me. I bond a lot with with Tarul Swami, Bhavana Swami and Patrali Chattopadhyay. I think Bhavana is very professional while Tarul is like my buddy. Patrali, too, is a chilled out person.”
Well, we hope you continue doing the good work and get more appreciated for your role!
