I don’t like the wild, rash and dirty Holi played in small towns – Shubhangi Atre Poorey

Shubhangi Atre Poorey enjoys the fun-filled moments that come with the celebration of Holi. She sees it as the best opportunity to make precious memories with family and friends.

Says the talented actress who is fondly called Angoori Bhabhi of &TV’s Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hai, “Such festivals are means to spread happiness. Amidst our busy schedules, festivals help us steal some time for ourselves and for our family.”

Shubhangi’s childhood memory of Holi still remains fresh in her mind. “I remember the days of our childhood in MP where my father used to keep lukewarm water to play Holi and request our friends to use the same water so that we don’t fall sick (smiles), “ shares the actress.

She will play Holi this year, and also wishes to drink bhaang to her heart’s content. At the same time, Shubhangi is sad as the entire meaning of Holi is changed today. “The wild, rash and dirty Holi that’s played in small towns are horrible. I feel that’s very bad and I don’t like it. Boys get a license to touch or even tease a girl, which is very wrong,” she indicates.

Shubhangi, wish you a very happy Holi!!
