TV actors have a special place in their fans’ lives. Hence, it’s difficult for fans to see their favorite TV actors leave popular shows. Check out list of actors who left popular shows because they were unhappy with their roles. (As per reports in Times Of India)
Neha Mehta: She had left the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2020. Sunayana Fozdar auditioned for the part on August 23 and eventually got the part. Neha had been a part of the show since its beginning. Neha did not return to the set of TMKOC following the lockdown because she had chosen to quit the show.
Sacchin Shrof: He played the role of Shivan’s husband in Ghum Hai Kisike Pyaar Mein and entered the show in March. Sacchin told BT: “My journey with Ghum Hai Kisike Pyaar Mein was a memorable one. It was a good character and I enjoyed playing it while my track was on. It was a happy-go-lucky character. The makers gave it importance when I entered the show. My track was really good initially, but gradually it did not shape up the way we thought it would. So I felt it was best to move on.”
Angad Hasija: He who portrayed the role of Takshak Naag in Dharm Yoddha Garud, quit the show last month. Angad revealed to BT: “I accepted the offer because I got an opportunity to explore the mythological genre for the first time. However, I eventually realised that I am not cut out for it. I have immense respect for those who have been playing mythological characters for years. The genre is quite demanding and challenging. It takes a lot of time to get ready and shoot in scorching heat wearing heavy costumes and jewellery can be exhausting. Though I enjoyed my time on the set of Garud and learnt a lot, after a while I was not comfortable doing it. I have to be honest about it. An actor’s job is never easy but if you don’t enjoy what you are doing then it makes no sense to drag yourself to do it every day.”
Esha Kansara: The actress who entered the popular TV show Maddam Sir, had to leave within a few days of joining, because her character was abruptly shelved. She told ETimes TV in an exclusive interview that “When you enter a show, you enter with a lot of energy. You carry positive vibes. I really had a ball of a time on the sets. An actor gives his/her months and dates and we give it our all to do it properly. Dates are very important for an actor. When you give dates, the actor says ‘no’ to many other projects. I had taken up Maddam Sir for 2-3 months and I was promised an exciting arc for my character. We get excited and look forward to it physically, mentally, and financially. I was disheartened that after signing it for 2-3 months, my character was over in 12-15 days of the shoot.”
