Gagan Anand ‘thrives’ amidst negativity in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein

Actor Gagan Anand is shaken with the hate mails and threatening messages coming from fans, but he is undoubtedly happy as his performace is being appreciated in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

Actor Gagan Anand who essays the role of Gagan has been vicious and conniving in his master plans in Star Plus’ popular show, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (Balaji Telefilms). With the story taking a dubious turn with Adi (Abhishek Verma) and Roshni (Vidisha Srivastava) getting married forcibly, the ever-loving audience of the show feel cheated with the love story of Adi and Aliya (Krishna Mukherjee) taking a setback.

Now, the man to bear the whole brunt is actor Gagan Anand who for once is facing a threat for real, as he is bombarded by messages from loyal fans of the show. When all of the messages coming happen to be hate mails, it only shows that Gagan as an actor has been bang on target when it comes to playing his role!!

‘Adi is a cute guy…. please don’t hurt him’

‘Agar Adi ko tang kiya toh accha nahi hoga’

Agar ab Adi Bhaiyya ko kuch bola toh tujhe jaan se maar denge’..

‘Kahi mil gaya toh zinda naa chodengey’…

These are some of the messages that keep bothering the man…

Says Gagan, “I am undoubtedly getting a lot of love from the audience for my character and performance. Of course, I play the villain and some people have been taking it very seriously and comment on Instagram, sometime throwing threats for real. It is indeed heights of seriousness when you read some of the messages. However, I understand that it is all because of their love for Adi. For the very first time though, I feel like it is a real life threat (smiles). The other way of looking at it is their love for characters. Above all, Adi and me are very good friends off screen. I know it is funny, so rather than taking it seriously, I am taking it as a compliment. I am really happy to be part of such a big show like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. And thank you for liking / hating me, viewers.”

Aww!! This seems like a strong wave of negativity for the character… And of course, cheers to Gagan who plays it so well…
