People love the show Anupamaa. Many celebrities and admirers have complimented Rupali. She discussed her tough times in a conversation with ETimes. She revealed that Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahi, her debut television program, was produced by Rajan Shahi. She completed all that was required of her at the moment.
Rupali’s work is the favorite of Rajan Shahi. Interestingly, Rupali collaborated with Rajan Shahi on her first show. Indeed, the actress recently made the same revelation. She recalled that she had gone to Rajan’s program to try out since she wanted to work in movies when he shot a pilot with another actress in 1999. She claimed that although the show had been approved and had a time slot, their lead actress was missing. Rupali continued by discussing how she got the part and how it was difficult for her to attend the audition because she lacked the necessary funds. She stated, “I remember I came walking from Worli to Andheri for the audition because I didn’t have money to buy bus tickets.”
“I was so tired by the time I reached that I just auditioned. I had that one chance and I goofed up and felt terrible. Then I heard someone discussing the storyline that it is a double role. I got very excited. I went back to Rajan Shahi and requested him to give me one more chance. He was very reluctant but I pushed him. He called me the next day and again I had to walk back. I came to Juhu and took a bus from there the next day. The next day, I came back and I auditioned. He gave me the first scene and then he asked me to do six scenes back to back.”
