Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol is back with a fresh ‘Season 11’.

Sitting on the panel of judges are acclaimed names from the music industry- Anu Malik, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani. This year’s theme of Indian Idol ‘Ek Desh Ek Awaz’ breaking all stereotypes, celebrates diversity in its true sense

At the age of 14, Chelsi Behura from Cuttack, Orissa made everyone mesmerized by her voice. The entire panel was stunned to see the talent of this singing prodigy who comes from a state which is rich in flora and fauna. Chelsi had sung ‘Pareshaan’ from the film Ishaqzaade.

The story of Chelsi is an inspiration to the youth, she lost her father when she was very young and from that time, she decided to become her mother’s backbone. She is her mother’s mother; right from shopping for her, teaching her social media, she is always makes sure that her mother is gets the best from life. Their mother-daughter relationship has transformed into a best friendship or sisterhood. Her story is very similar to that of Mini from Sony Entertainment’s ‘Patiala Babes’. The way Mini became the reason for Babita to start a new life, similarly Chelsi became the reason because of which her mother could restart her life and she always stood behind her like a solid pillar.

After hearing Chelsi, the judges were speechless. They were so enthralled the way she sang the song. Neha Kakkar said “I am surprised that at such a young age you are singing so amazingly , I can see you being the next singing sensation of our country. Not only for singing talent but for the way she has been standing with her mother though good and bad times”. The judges give her a standing ovation for supporting her mother always.
