Sony Entertainment Televisions’ Indian Idol Season 12 is all set to bring to the viewers the Greatest Finale Ever in a never-seen-before avatar this Independence Day! Giving an ode to the singing legend and the ‘Queen of Melody,’ Lata Mangeshkar, ace playback singer Alka Yagnik will be singing some of her evergreen songs making the evening a memorable one. Crooning to some of Lata Ji’s soulful songs such as Ajeeb Dastan, Beeti Na Bitayi, Do Pal Ka Khwabon, Yun Hasraton Ke and many more, Alka Yagnik is going to create magic with her voice.
Calling it an ode to her idol, Alka Yagnik says, “For me, Lataji is a goddess. I consider her my idol and giving her a tribute during the Great Grand Finale episode of India Idol Season 12 finale is an honour.”
Alka Yagnik who is ecstatic for the TOP 6 contestants Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Mohd Danish, Sayli Kamble, Nihal Tauro and Shanmukha Priya, believes that they have a great future ahead. “They are all winners to me. Each one of them have a great understanding about music and their singing is commendable. I am really excited to be part of the Greatest Grand Finale Ever,” expresses Alka Yagnik.
