Actor Sushant Kandya who was seen in The Guilty Misfits, Crimes and Confessions and was part of Sony SAB’s show Ziddi Dil Maane Na, got a lifetime experience recently of playing the role of a valiant airforce officer for a docu-drama on National Geographic channel.
Sushant portrayed the role of Flt Lt Paritosh Upadhyay who flew the valiant rescue mission called Timber Trail Rescue and was involved in the challenging hovering of the flight to rescue the people stranded in the cable car.
Says Sushant, “Shooting for this documentary drama for National Geographic, which is mainly based on the Indian Army’s Rescue Operations, was a lifetime experience for me. I wanted to become a pilot in childhood. So when I got to play the role, I was excited.”
“We prepped for an hour and more to shoot the sequences. We shot the portions at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bangalore.”
On the work front, Sushant is looking for challenging roles on TV and well as on the platform of the web.
