In the show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 13, Big B aka Amitabh Bachchan revealed an anecdote from his audition for Saat Hindustani.
In one sequence of the episode, when the contestant, Sanchali was asked, “Who was the producer, director and story writer of the 1969 film Saat Hindustani?”, however, even Sanchal knew it’s Amitabh Bachchan’s movie, she had no idea who the producer, director or story write was, and she took her third lifeline, “Ask the expert”, after which she could give the correct answer.
Later, Amitabh shared a fun incident from the audition days for the film, he said, “When I went to audition for Saat Hindustani, Khwaja Ahmad Abbas asked my name. When I told him I am Amitabh Bachchan, he asked me my father’s name and I told him it was Harivansh Rai Bachchan. On hearing my father’s name, he asked me to wait outside and called my father. He thought I have come for the audition without informing anyone in the house. So, he called my father and clarified if he knew about it.” as quoted by The Indian Express.
