Ekta Kapoor is back with another gem on Colors TV and we have to say, it’s looking very inviting! The centre plot of the show revolves around the ancientbelief that on Mahashivratri Lord Shiva is preoccupied and ends up losing control over ghosts, who run havoc in the mandir, because of which this temple is off limits at night.
And yet, an unmarried girl dates to go against the myth because it is also believed that if you go there you will see the face of your future husband! This is a very interesting twist and we can totally imagine why the game garnered courage to make the dangerous and forbidden climb.
Kawach Mahashivratri is the second edition to the franchise starting Vivek Dahiya and Mona Singh in the lead roles, and this has already left the audience guessing about where the link to the first edition would be and how it connects to this new edition. We may be jumping the gun on that one though!
The series also highlights a love triangle between Angad, Sandhya and Kapil, and Angad’s ex-flame Nisha also enters in the plot, making this a very interesting quadrangle. This fantasy themed serial definitely has its work cut out already, with many amazing serials running on prime-time television but audience would never turn their back on a captivating show and engaging storyline, and this show offers that and more.
At the end of the day, the show has the perfect ingredients and recipe in place, so we are sure that it’s just a matter of time before the ratings start pouring in. It is after all television queen Ekta Kapoor’s baby and we are sure that we will certainly be getting best of the best.
