Salman Khan is all set to launch Bigg Boss 14 tonight.
The superstar will return as host of the popular reality show Bigg Boss, for its upcoming 14th season. Salman has hosted the show since 2010’s season four.
Over the years, the actor has become synonymous with the show, and the channel has gone the extra mile in keeping him on as host, reportedly by increasing his salary dramatically.
As for Bigg Boss 14, if reports are to be believed, Salman’s total remuneration for the season adds upto Rs 480 crore. However, a report in Mid-day states that while Salman was to be paid Rs 20 crore per episode, which adds up to the above-mentioned figure, the actor’s team closed the deal at Rs 450 crore.
The report also stated that the amount is inclusive of his fees for promos and virtual press conferences. The producers at Endemol are willing to pay the remuneration as they know Salman is the primary reason for the show’s high TRPs.
