Palak Muchhal reveals her inspiring memory associated with the song Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo

&TV’s The Voice India Kids Season 2 has been entertaining audiences with the contestants’ powerpacked performances and the spectacular mentoring that they receive from the coaches. Coach Palak Muchhal, the girl with golden voice, has always given the contestants lessons on kindness and generosity by proving that altruism is not a vestige of the past, and neither is it restricted to the rich or to grown-ups. This weekend, The Voice India Kids is all set to present a Republic Day special episode featuring the contestants of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs who were accompanied by singer Neha Kakkar. During the course of this special episode, Palak Muchhal reveals an inspiring memory associated with the song ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon’.

A source present at the set says, “In the upcoming Republic Day special episode, child prodigy Sneha Shankar along with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’ co-winner Shreyan Bhattacharya performed the song Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon for the officers of Indian army and the Mumbai Police. Known for some truly melodious songs, Neha Kakkar applauded Shreyan for beautifully accompanying Sneha during her performance and giving everyone goosebumps! But the true surprise came when coach Palak Muchhal revealed a personal memory to make the Republic Day celebrations even more special!”

Commenting on the act, Coach Palak shares, “This song is very special to me. When I was 6 years old, my mother used to read out stories from the newspaper on how the Kargil War started and claimed the lives of hundreds of Indian soldiers. She added that a lot of people are raising funds and donating to the families of the army officers. It was then that I decided to take a stand and do something to help them. I used to sing Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon at different shops and request the owners to contribute something for the families of the war victims. In fact, I managed to raise Rs.25,000 for the war victims’ family.”

Celebrating Republic Day with the Army jawans, Coach Palak soon joined the contestants on stage and performed to this song in front of the audience!
