Television and film actor Sidharth Shukla died on September 2 at the age of 40. The actor suffered a heart attack and was declared dead on arrival at Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital. The actor rose to fame with his appearance on the hit television show Balika Vadhu and became a household name following his win on Bigg Boss 13.
It’s tragic that two of the lead actors of Balika Vadhu, Sidharth Shukla and Pratyusha Banerjee died so young. Pratyusha, who played Anandi on the show Balika Vadhu, died on April 1, 2016. She was 24 and was found hanging at her Goregaon residence at around 5 pm. The actress was rushed to Kokilaben Ambani hospital in Andheri by her live-in boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh, where the actress was declared brought dead. No suicide note was found. Her parents registered an FIR alleging that Rahul Raj had tortured her and drove her to commit suicide.
Sidharth and Pratyusha both were popular faces and successful names on television. Both the TV stars rose to fame with Colors TV’s social drama Balika Vadhu. While Sidharth plays Shivraj Shekhar. On the show, Anandi married Shiv on her Dadisa’s insistence but gradually fell in love with him. Sidharth and Pratyusha were good friends. It will be difficult for the fans to process that the two gems are no more.
