Bollywood Khiladi, Akshay Kumar has a Rakhi-sister in the industry and it’s none other than the lovely Rupali Ganguly, aka Anupama.
Recently, Akshay went on the sets of the reality show ‘Ravivaar with Star Parivaar’ to promote his film ‘Raksha Bandhan’. Where Rupali tied a rakhi to Akshay and talking about her first meet with him.
Rupali said, “Akshay and I go way back. He is my rakhi-brother. We lost touch for a while when he became such a big personality. It gets a bit awkward after a while.” Talking about their first meeting, she further added: “It was back in 1992 when I started tying ‘Rakhi’ to him, and in 2022, I got to see him again and tie another ‘rakhi’, all thanks to the show.”
Recently, Rupali Ganguly took to her Instagram and shared a picture with her Rakhi-brother, where she appeared to be hugging her Big bro. Rupali was dressed in a white lehenga outfit, while Akshay looked dapper in the beige colored shirt. Both the stars were seen smiling ear-to-ear and also seemed emotional.
On the workfront, Akshay Kumar is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Raksha Bandhan’ that also stars Bhumi Pednekar. It is scheduled to release in theatres on August 11, 2022 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan itself. Whereas, Rupali Ganguly is enjoying her fame with her ongoing show “Anupama”.
