Actor Ravi Chhabra, who is currently seen in Naagin 6 and known for his work in shows like Musakaan, Namune, Kundali Bhagya, Kumkum Bhagya, Bhagya Lakshmi, Choti Sarrdaarni among others, feels it is important for actors to adopt healthy lifestyle. As per reports in Times Of India, he was quoted saying, “Maintaining a health and fitness regimen as an actor goes beyond looking your best; you have to feel your best. As an artist I completely understand that it is so important for performers on screen to incorporate a healthy lifestyle into day-to-day life.”
Ravi feels artist need to be fit to deal with the uncertainty of the profession. He adds, “It’s a fact that individuals who choose performing arts for their career are passionate about being fit and absolutely love it. But the uncertainty of the profession at times can be stressful and that’s why actors who want to contribute to society and have a lasting successful career in the field need to keep themselves healthy and prioritize their own well being, both physical and mental.”
Ravi makes sure that he has a good screen presence and meaty role in shows. He mentions, “I have mostly portrayed negative characters onscreen but personally I enjoy playing positive roles. Though I don’t have any issues playing a villain in a show, personally I feel excited to be the hero on-screen. Before signing up a show, I ensure that my character is well etched and has a value addition to the narrative rather than just be one of the characters on screen. I check that my screen time while signing a show.”
