Anupamaa
Rajan Shahi and his team at Director’s Kut were pretty sure of having a winner in hand!! The delay in launch of Anupamaa on Star Plus (was to launch in March, just before the lockdown was announced) did not make the team jittery. Instead, it gave them ample time to present to the audience the best version of the product. The result is now before everyone!! Anupamaa which talks of the simple life of a middle-aged housewife who has given her all to the family, and has never got anything in return, is the favourite of the masses today. It is a trendsetter for sure, as this show has changed the norms that a successful show on TV should feature the youngsters and not the middle-aged profound actors as leads. Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey have struck ‘gold’ with the show!! Anupamaa shines on, getting brighter in its vision and approach at the #1 spot in GEC rankings.
Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga
