Sony Entertainment Television upcoming weekend is going to be Kishor Kumar 100 songs special episode. Amit Kumar one of the popular singers who will grace the stage of the famous musical reality show Indian Idol season 12. It will be a mellow bonanza as it would be a tribute to The Legendary singer Kishor Kumar. The judges, Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya and Anu Malik will warmly welcome the singer. The incredible performances of the contestants will surely take everyone to the golden days of the 90s.
Post glorious performance by Anjali Gaikwad on the song ‘Mere Naina Sawan Bhaado’, ‘Are yaar meri tum ho ghazab’, ‘PiyaPiyaa mora jiya pukaare’ mesmerised everyone on the set. She was honoured by the chief guest Amit Kumar and also all three judges. With that Himesh Reshammiya also shares the story behind a song sung by his father in the early days.
Adding to it Amit Kumar quoted on Anjali’s voice and said that “In those days Kishore Kumar Ji was not even trained when I sang these songs. Today looking at your talent proves that your father has given you the best understanding of every sur and tal of music and your voice is amiable please cherish it”.
Further Himesh Reshammiya adds that “During that times my father MR. Vipin Reshammiya recorded a song with Kishore Da which had a classical touch and even, today we have that song with us that couldn’t be released. But, it’s my promise that I will release the song as it has my Daddy’s composition with Kishore Da and Lata Di. He further adds during the scenario of dubbing rehearsals and mentioned, “Lataji gave a substantially great performance and when Kishore Da heard the song of Lataji, with the instant effect he said, Ab recording cancel, because, I will sing in both Male and Female voice and further stated that, Because, Lata has sung so great that I have to practice this”. and Kishore Da used to call my dad several times. Kishore Da practised it then sang and later recorded the song. I will release the song of Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar which we couldn’t release. Himesh Reshammiya signs off”
