The million-dollar question that the loyal fans of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai have been asking is whether the reign of Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi as a leading couple of the show is surely over or not! Well, there have been reports of Mohsin Khan exiting Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, reason being that he does not want to play father to grown-ups.
There was also an added news of the show going in for a revamp with new leads coming in. Though there were no confirmations from the Producer or channel on this, the last few days have seen yet another major development in the news.

Confirming Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi’s exit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, a source told SpotboyE, “Shivangi and Mohsin will be making an exit from the show by October first week and new actors will join in. The makers have already done a lot of experiments with their characters and now, want to start a new storyline. Hence, the decision has been made.”
According to the same publication, the makers have taken their final decision to replace the lead stars with the new ones, even Shivangi and Mohsin are aware of the development and they’ll be shooting their final scenes by the end of this month.
Well, there are also rumours of Mohsin Khan being offered the new season of Bigg Boss.
If all this happens, it surely will be the end of an era on the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Together known as Kaira, Mohsin and Shivangi as Kartik and Naira/Sirat, have been loved and appreciated by audiences from the time they joined the show in 2016.
After the earlier generation leap was taken, Hina Khan and Karan Mehra’s chapter ended. And now we are on the brink of welcoming the new leads and bidding adieu to Mohsin and Shivangi.
