A revolution has taken place on Indian television. No, I am not talking about mushrooming news channels or reality shows on the small screen. Quietly, one serial, which has been running for more than eight years, five times a week, has taken the television comedy scene by storm.

On Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Jethalal has refused to celebrate Navratri without his beloved Daya. In the upcoming episode, the women of Gokuldham Society will call Dayaben.

However, Dayaben’s brother Sundar will pick the call and assure the ladies that he will get Dayaben back for Navratri.
A few months back, the whole star cast of Sab TV’s popular comedy show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah had gone to Hong Kong for a special sequence. Along with the star cast and the crew members, producer Asit Modi was also seen in a pivotal role in this special episode.

The show, based on the lives of families living in Gokuldham Society in Mumbai’s Goregaon suburb, revolves around their day-to-day travails and tribulations, their joys, sorrows, fights, achievements and everything else. “This was the kind of atmosphere I grew up in,” says Modi.

Actor Amit Bhatt who plays the role of an elder man; popularly known as Chachaji of Gokuldham Society had great fun with all his co-stars while shooting. Recently, he also posted some fun pictures during the Hong Kong journey on a social networking site.

Actors like Dilip Joshi, Disha Vakani, Bhavya Gandhi, Shailesh Lodha, Munmun Dutta, Sonali Joshi, and Amit Bhatt had a great bash while shooting in Hong Kong. Here is a glimpse of it
