Today’s episode of Anupamaa starts with Pakhi coming to Anu’s room and asking Anupamaa to hug her as she feels lonely. Pakhi also recalls Adhik’s words as he wants them to sleep separately until their family accepts them. Pakhi praises Adhik’s decision and goes into Anu’s room to sleep. She asks Anupamaa whether she can sleep on her lap. Pakhi cries and shares her feelings with Anupamaa. Anupamaa hugs her and makes her sleep on her lap. Anuj takes an evil eye away from Anupamaa. The next morning, Vanraj looks for Pakhi and asks her to shut the music and later on recalls Pakhi’s marriage.
The Shahs wish each other Happy New year, and at that time, Paritosh enters. He came for Pakhi as he couldn’t believe that Pakhi had made the same mistake he did. Pakhi and Adhik come to the living area and wish everyone a Happy New year. Adhik asks Anuj to give him a job as he has now got a responsibility, and for that, he needs a job. Anuj tells him to come tomorrow to the office. Barkha calls Adhik’s emotion fake and gets angry. Anupamaa asks everyone to keep quiet as it’s new year’s day. Samar and Paritosh try to convince Vanraj and ask him to forgive Pakhi and accept her. Vanraj and all the Shahs miss Pakhi.
Barkha asks Adhik to stop his drama, and to this, Adhik says, “Yes, I am cheating Pakhi” he removes Barkha’s phone with the recording and asks her not to play cheap games with him as he knows her very well. Barkha fails to expose Adhik. Anuj and Anupamaa visit the Shah house to ask for the proper marriage ceremony of Pakhi and Adhik. Vanraj gives his permission but says he will appear as a guest, not as a father. He will not perform the duties of father and all rituals and duties Anupamaa and Anuj will do.
